The Kangook KX-1

Starting at $1,999.

The Kangook KX-1 is available as a trike or a kuad!  The KX-1  is the most modular trike/kuad available from Kangook Paramotors and is available in three configurations: the KX-1 Standard, KX-1 Komfort Solo, and the KX-1 Komfort Tandem.  As compared to the Basik, the KX-1 is designed to carry higher loads.  The KX-1 is a little bit longer, features fully welded diagonal braces, and features a fully welded frame (as opposed to bolted front potion on the Basik)

Trike or Kuad:

Three wheels?  Four wheels?  The choice is yours!  The KX-1 is available as a trike as well as a kuad.  Becuase the KX-1 is a fully welded frame, the trike version cannot be converted into a kuad, nor can the kuad be converted into a trike.

The KX-1 Standard:

The KX-1 Standard is a great choice for those looking to both foot launch and wheel launch.  The KX-1 Standard is an independent chassis allowing the quick attachment of any Kangook foot launch paramotor.  Four bolts are used to tightly secure the foot launch paramotor to the KX-1 frame.  The paramotor harness and swing arms are used in this configuration allowing the paramotor to be quickly removed and foot launched.  The KX-1 Standard can be converted to the KX-1 Komfort Solo or Komfort Tandem at any time.

The KX-1 Komfort Solo:

The KX-1 Komfort Solo is a great choice for those who only intend to wheel launch.  The KX-1 Komfort is a dedicated trike/kuad which incorporates stainless steel roll bars for additional safety and stability.  While this configuration does not use the foot launch paramotor swing arms and harness, any Kangook paramotor frame with engine can be attached to the Basik Komfort.  A trike specific harness, which attaches to the roll cage, is used in place of a foot launch paramotor and the wing attaches to the roll cage as well.

The KX-1 Komfort Tandem:

The KX-1 Komfort Tandem is essentially a  Komfort Solo with a stretched roll cage.  A passenger harness is installed within the lengthened roll cage.  The Komfort Tandem can be flown solo and in compliance with FAR 103 by simply removing the passenger seat and mounting provisions.

We highly recommend paring any of the KX-1 trikes with the Kangook Classic paramotor frame with the heavy duty option.  This provides the maximum strength and significantly enhances protection for the propeller.

Assembly and disassembly of the KX-1 is a breeze!  Both fiberglass axels are quickly removed using the quick release pin retainers.

Numerous wheel and ski options are available for all KX-1 configurations.  These include:

-Brakes

-Directly attached skis

-Stirrup skis

-Foot throttle

The Kangook KX-1 trike is finished with a durable powder coat finish.  The frame is finished in black while the fiberglass axles retain a white color.

Like all Kangook Paramotors and trikes, the KX-1 is constructed entirely from 6061 T6 aviation grade aluminum.  Fully welded frames are strong and have very few if any nuts, bolts, rivets or any other type of fastener.  Fewer fasteners mean less worry of parts shaking loose from the vibration of a single cylinder engine and departing your frame and flying through your propeller.

Kangook KX-1 Standard trike.jpg

Starting with the Basik frame, the KX-1 is length and strengthen with a welded front bracket.  The KX-1 also adds two diagonal stiffeners that run from the front of the trike to where the axles tie in.  This triangulation adds incredible strength!
